My Story

Motivated by the Rise Project, Aljon Toledo started to think of a way to impact a field he is fond of. Being an aspiring scientist, he realized the severity of misinformation on science topics. As the current Head of Media Relations in The Scientific Teen, a student-led scientific publishing organization, Aljon became much more aware of communicating science to the general public using social media platforms.All of these led to Aljon focusing on tackling misinformation on social media through education. He decided to focus on protecting children against the misinformation present on the internet. He achieved this by creating a children's book that would tackle misinformation creatively. Thinking Tommy was established on January 2023. As of the launch, our first book and activity sheet are already up. In the future, we are planning to release the next versions of our collection!
